For Philly residents, you have until Oct 7th to appeal your 2014 taxes.  The appeal form can be found here.  If you are not sure of your 2014 tax amount, you can find your assessed value here.  And for those with cars in center city that have parking permits, check out the new rates coming for your parking permit here.  Sometimes I wonder why anyone would want to live in Philly....although the city does offer so many good things in the fall like this Sunday with the Midtown Village Fall Festival.

Philly sports thoughts....I went to the opening night of the Flyers who are our only hope for a championship and it looks bleak....just do not think we have enough talent to compete with the top teams - clearly the same issue with the Eagles and Phillies. And the 76ers new marketing campaign tells you were that team is at.

 


1) Growlers Bar 1st Anniversary Block Party

This Saturday, October 5th, from 12pm to 6pm Growlers Bar will be closing down Fitzwater Street between 8th & 9th Streets to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. The festivities will include performances by Abbreviated Profit (accoustic duo) as well as Trinadelphia w/ guest vocalist Precious G (reggae). Craft beer and barbeque will be served outdoors, as well as a moon bounce and face painting for the little ones.
