Title: 22 Items (12-9-11) sponsored by the 13th Annual 'To Life Party' - Christmas Eve in Philly
Body:

I am in need of a Quick Books person/bookkeeper.  10-20 hours a week able to pay about $10-15 per hour.  Does anyone know someone they recommend?

I am staying local this weekend.  Passed up on heading to Killington with PhillyTrips - they just did not have enough open to get me motivated for the trip.  We do have another Vermonth trip to Mt. Snow though later in the year when the conditions will be better plus a trip to Utah and Whistler coming up this season.  Another option was to head to Miami for the Eagles this weekend but just being around them upsets me at this point.

For those in the restaurant industry or are concerned on how city council effects businesses, this is an interesing interview with restaurateur Marc Vetri. And while I am complaining about city politics, here is an editorial about why we should not be teating business in Philly as a privilege.

For those who do not have to work early on Tuesdays, consider heading to mur.mur at the Borgota.  Was down Monday night and they pack the place.

For those thinking about refinancing or buying a place:    The 30-year fixed dipped to 3.99 percent, and at 3.27 percent, the 15-year fixed averaged just slightly above its all-time low of 3.26 percent on October 6, 2011. 8) South Street Bridge UPDATE

The South Street Bridge celebrated its first birthday in November and it just keeps getting better.

The bridge will glow in time for the holidays with the installation of its much-anticipated lighting scheme. Programmable LED lighting will illuminate the four observation towers – themselves newly complete – by Dec. 23, reports David Perri at the Streets Department.  Trees have been planted adjacent to the bridge on Schuylkill Avenue (courtesy of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia), the bike paths are freshly painted bright green and decorative banners will fly by mid-month.   Construction bids are being reviewed for a ramp and new boardwalk (made actually of concrete) that will link the bridge to an extended Schuylkill River trail. That project, according to the Schuylkill River Development Corporation, is on the fast track for completion in 2013.
