18" storm total at Killington - heading up with PhillyTrips this weekend.   Would love for you to be with us as we have room on the bus...leave Friday afternoon and back Monday night.   My first trip of the season to Vermont after a handful of midweek trips to NY (Hunter/Windham).  Also did my first night skiing this past week at Blue ($25).    If you ski/ride, please let me know.  Always more fun on the mountain with a group.

Hope everyone had a good new years.  I spent three nights in NYC at Madison Square Garden with Phish.  Here is some video of how they celebrated New Years.  Show of 2010 for me was Roger Waters performing The Wall. Video of the show,

The Eagles loss hurt but the better team won in GB.  The Eagles have not had a defense all year.  I read this article on the NFL title game of GB/PHI where the Eagles won - thought it was worth sharing. - Mark

SPONSOR: Hair O' The Dog Black Tie Party

When the Hair O' The Dog started way back in 1995 (that's 102 dog years ago!) at the Tiki Club in King of Prussia, we were excited by the turn-out of about 100 people. Each year since, this black tie extravaganza has grown in both size and prominence in the region, with Hair O' The Dog attracting thousands of party-goers to date. Over the years, the event has been held at some of the best venues the city has to offer.  This year will be no different as we venture out to one of newest and most stylish venue's in town: The Philadelphia Belle.

No Holiday Cheer in 2010      :: Pennsylvania Legislature fails to take action to reform beer laws
Seventy-five years ago this month, Prohibition was repealed in the United States and once again beer was sold openly to the public. Seventy-five years later, despite collecting over 125,000 signatures urging action and despite the introduction of a bill by Senator John Rafferty, Pennsylvania is still no closer to reforming prohibition-era beer laws. What does this mean for you? It means you still can’t buy a six pack of beer at distributors, grocery stores or convenience stores in Pennsylvania. It means Pennsylvania is still saddled with an antiquated, ineffective and unsafe system for licensing liquor sales. It means, in short, that despite overwhelming support (70 percent state-wide) YOUR VOICE WAS NOT HEARD!!!

Is this defeat? Absolutely not! Freemybeer.com is as committed as ever to dragging Pennsylvania beer laws into the 20th century. We will be re-tooling the campaign and bringing our message to a newly elected Governor and Legislature. This time, WE WILL BE HEARD!

How can you help? Share this email with friends and family. Contact your elected officials to make your desires known. Check the freemybeer.com website frequently for updates. And stay tuned for more information in early 2011! -  Your friends at Free My Beer.

7) HAITI EARTHQUAKE ANNIVERSARY FACT

celebrate and set new goals on this New Year... I bid you to honor the Haitian Independence Day. On January 1, 1804, Haiti proclaimed its independence, becoming the second independent state in the Western Hemisphere behind the US independence in 1776 and the 1st free black republic in the world. The Haitian Revolution began in 1791 under the religious leader Boukman. It continued with François Dominique Toussaint L'Ouverture with over one hundred thousand slaves rising up against the French. In 1803, his reign came to an end with the rise of Napoleon Bonaparte, when the French tricked him into a meeting where he was arrested and sent to France; where he died shortly after. The revolution was carried on by Jean-Jacques Dessalines. Finally, on November 28, 1803, Rochambeau surrendered and Dessalines declared Haiti to be a republic on January 1st, 1804. The Haitian Revolution is regarded as a defining moment in the history of Africans in the New World*.
