I am recommitting myself to getting this back to a weekly newsletter.   Last one I sent USA was still playing soccer.

Have been able to catch some good music the past few weeks (3 Phish shows, Further (Dead), Dave Matthews, James Taylor, and a few shows at the World Café)

I saw this video about an oil spill from 1979 and thought it was pretty amazing.  Close your eyes when listening to the report.  Is it 1979 or 2010?

Do you practice yoga and would like to expand your social circle and meet your fellow classmates? We are committed to building a professional community for yoga practitioners who are into health and wellness and meeting like minded people.  At Philly Social Yoga, we'll help you, whether new or old to the practice, become more connected in a relaxed atmosphere where you can meet, greet, and do yoga together.

• This unique new event takes place at Philly Power Yoga and will last about 2 hours.  It will include an hour of beginners yoga, and the rest of the time will be spent meeting your fellow yoga practitioners who are into health and wellness and meeting like minded people.
• There will be a 1 hour class taught by one of Philadelphia’s top Yoga instructors, Troy Jackson. The class will be taught for people of all levels (whether this is your first time or you’ve been practicing for 10 years).  Troy is a phenomenal teacher with an amazing ability to connect with his students.
• After class, there will be a social hour where everyone will be introduced to each other.  Wine, water, veggies, hummus, and fruit will be provided.  You’ll get a chance to meet other people who have an interest in health, fitness, and new friendships.

I wanted to share with you some information about an organization I am involved with called Honor Flight. It is a non profit organization that brings WWII veterans to the Memorial in Washington D.C. free of charge. My friend has organized a chapter in South Jersey and for the past 4 years we have brought 2-3 buses to Washington each trip. The veterans get an opportunity to see their memorial and we honor them for their service. I go as a guardian. (They are up there in age and every veteran has to have someone with them, for assistance, to make sure they are having a great time) It is such a wonderful trip! I get the chance to meet the most interesting people and talk to them about their experiences. The stories that I have heard!

I encourage you to take a look at the website and pass along the information. We just had our annual trip and we are already planning for next June. Every year it gets harder to find new veterans. (They can only go on this trip once.) Please pass this information to anyone who you feel may be interested or may know a WWII vet.
