Body:

Sorry I missed last week.  I jumped out to the LA/SD for the Eagles.  Fun weekend of shorts and sunshine.  Definitely a different way to live out there.  And the ease to accessible medical marijuana made the law look like a complete joke.  Having an older stadium like the chargers play in sure leads to long bathroom lines. They charge $150 to park an RV and $25 a car which I thought was expensive.  And as I complained a few weeks ago about Philly going to an 8% sales tax, I should complain less since LA is at 9.75% - even for socks and underwear.  Being out west in LA, you can see how earthquakes have created the mountains/hills in the area.  Did you know we actually have earthquakes in PA/NJ?  It is true: http://neic.usgs.gov/neis/bulletin/neic_nea5.html

As far as the Eagles, I think I should be banned from the remaining games.  Went to Dallas the week before too.  I learned the upper deck in the Linc still has some 700 level Vet mentality.  I was amazed how many fights we had in our section.    And speaking of Veterans Stadium, let’s remember last week was Veterans Day.  Maybe you want to participate in this program: http://www.opgratitude.com/

I might have some extra tickets to see Phish on TU and WED in Philly.  Does anyone have interest?

Save the date:  HOD is back.  Jan 16th.  http://www.hairothedog.com/
FYI: the Irish Pub at 20th and Walnut no longer has wing night on Wednesdays.  And Ladder 15 now charges a $5 cover on FR and SAT nights
Good luck to anyone on this list who is running the marathon this Sunday.

Last week, I attended a new event in town, Naughty Bingo.  It was something different and fun.  I know they are planning another night which I of course will let you know about: http://www.naughtybingophilly.com/.  ANd for those that can not wait, check out Kinky Quizzo (#21)

And you know I always have to finish with some real estate information.  Philly has 3 of the top 15 zip codes (19104, 19145 and 19148)  in this report as the Hottest Zip Codes: http://www.cnbc.com/id/33733815.  If you are thinking of buying or selling a home, PLEASE do talk to me.  I do earn a percentage of my income from my Realtor activities and your support and trust would certainly be appreciated and well deserved. I almost forgot. Here is a good link to see if you qualify for the federal tax credit for first time home buyers: http://www.realtor.org/fedistrk.nsf/files/government_affairs_tax_credit_ext_chart_110409.pdf/$FILE/government_affair

14) SPONSOR a family for Thanksgiving

Tackling Together, a Barrett Brooks Foundation, doesn't do anything like everyone else! Instead of just giving out turkeys for Thanksgiving, we are fixing a home cooked meal for the residents of the Dreuding Center/Project Rainbow (a subsidiary of Holy Redeemer Hospital) which is a transitional housing program for homeless women and their children. Tackling Together and our celebrity friends consisting of current and retired Eagles players, will prepare, cook and serve Thanksgiving dinner for these residents.

We are asking for a donation to support a family for Thanksgiving. You can be a part of this campaign, not by attending an event, but by sponsoring a family. Your sponsorship will help in one of three ways to support a family and to enjoy a Thanksgiving feast. Click here to feed a family now.  http://tacklingtogetherdc-upcares.eventbrite.com/
