On Saturday, I participated in City Chase. Finished 24 our of more than 300 teams. With a few adjustments next year, I expect to be ableo move up in the standings. It was a fun day and a unique activity. It is something I would recommend to people for next year.
There is something happening in Northern Liberties that I thought was worth mentioning. The new development at 2nd and Girard has a great Piazza for entertaining. 5) CAMDEN FILM PROJECT
CAMDEN, NEW JERSEY: The Camden Film Project is hosting a benefit on May 28, Thursday from 6:30-9:30 at the Walt Whitman Center. The event will include the first-ever public screening of footage from a documentary about the history and reality of Camden shot by Camden teenagers. The film is tentatively titled, Camden Love/Hate. "These kids knew nothing about how to operate a camera or conduct interviews a year ago," said Camden Film Project co-director Daniel Meirom. "And now they are ready to show excerpts from a film they'll be editing and submitting to festivals in the summer."
High school students from the Camden Center for Youth Development will talk about shooting Camden Love/Hate and the year of technical training and preparation that preceded it. The event will also feature musical entertainment, a raffle and refreshments. All funds raised at the event will be used for completing the film and continuing the program next year.
The benefit will be held at the Walt Whitman Arts Center, located at 2nd and Cooper streets in Camden. This is directly next to Rutgers Camden, and it’s the first PATCO stop after the Benjamin Franklin Bridge (City Hall, Rutgers Camden.)
