Title: 24 Items (3-13-09) sponsored by McFaddens St. Pattyfest

I missed last week.  Was in Utah with PhillyTrips and we had a foot of snow so things go a little hectic for me.  For those that want to know what it is like to ski in a foot of snow, check out my buddy Drew: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1Nz0vHEpGA.  Today, I am off to Vermont with PhillyTrips – we have over 40 people heading up for the weekend.

Did not get to comment on the Brian Dawkins situation.  The contract he was given by Denver was too much for the Eagles to match.  Overall, the Eagles have made good decisions when it comes to resigning free agents, so I think we have to give the organization the benefit at this point.  Certainly, we will miss BD and possibly we might see his number retired by the Eagles when he retires.  If anyone has interest in traveling with the Eagles this season, check out Green Legion: http://www.greenlegion.com/upcoming_trips.asp
Talking about sports, I arranged for my Phillies opening day tickets thanks to a friend who treats me better than I deserve.

This weekend is St. Patty’s day celebrations, with McFaddens McPattyfest ,Erin Express, Get Lucky, and the parade.

I was able to enjoy beer week while in town.  Wednesday night I went to the Sam Adams dinner at Fieldhouse.  The founder of Sam Adams spoke a few times throughout the meal which I enjoyed.  We also got to sample a bunch of different Sam Adams flavors, including the highest alcohol content beer in the world – it did not even taste like a beer.  I can see Beer Week growing to a great annual event in Philly.

Certain airlines are now allowing cell phone calls on flights: http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/inpage.php?partner=MOB&pos=HOME_BOTTOM_SIDE2&culture=GB
I hope this is not a trend as it will be so annoying to have people chatting on planes the entire time.  Maybe at first, people will be priced out of the service but it is only a matter of time before pricing comes down and then sleeping on a plane is going to be impossible.  Delta is about to launch their Internet service on planes which will be great.

Did you know Kildares in Headhouse Square on 2nd street was sold and is now operating under a different company?
