Title: 29 Items (2-6-09) sponsored by Killington, Vermont

I need to find someone a hosting or waitress job in Philly.  Anyone have any leads for me?

Made it to Steamboat Springs, Colorado today with www.PhillyTrips.com.  30+ strong. Some potential snow this weekend so I am hoping... For those thinking about Killington or Park City…..we still can get you there with us in March.  BTW, did you know US Airways now charges $2 for a can of soda/juice?

For those thinking skiing locally, Blue Mountain has some daily specials: http://www.skibluemt.com/SkiBlue/tickets-and-passes/daily-specials.aspx and Elk Mountain, has "best buys" every Wednesday: $15 lift ticket for college students with an i.d. and  $15 with a coupon from cases of Coors Light.  These are in addition to $15 lift tickets on Tuesdays for senior citizens who are at least 65 years of age.

I went to Blue on Sunday afternoon.  Mountain was very crowded. I tried the telemark skis for the first time. Learned I need a lesson.
Was at Trader Joes on Monday night and learned it was the most crowded place in Philly - lines were 10 deep.

For those females looking to drink on the cheap, Public House has a ladies night every Wednesday.  From 9-10 it is free open bar.

The Bonnaroo line up was just announced.  Anyone thinking of heading there this summer? http://www.bonnaroo.com/

Thinking of buying a house?  Plenty of sellers with their backs against the wall out there and rates are still very low.  The stimulus program has some good tax incentives too which should be going in to effect right away.  If you have a job and a responsible bill payer, time to give additional thoughts to buying in 2009.  And I know a realtor that would love to help you out.  His name is Mark Zwick.

Like so many of us in the current economy, our fire fighter buddies are going thru some tough times.

Just this past month seven Philadelphia fire companies were completely shut down.

Therefore, beginning Feb. 3 Field House is dedicating every Tuesday night to all of our firefighters.

The fire fighters have chosen to make the weekly event a fundraiser -- a suggested $5 donation to the "Local 22 Widows Fund."

In turn, at the end of each month Field House will match whatever our firefighters have collected.

So please, even if you stop in real quick to make a donation and have a couple beers, please come by This Tuesday, Feb. 3 or any Tuesday between 6-10pm from Feb-May to help a good cause.

This Sunday, on February 8th, Ted Passon will be filming a video for GPTMC's 'LOVE' campaign, featuring couples kissing in Love Park. Here's a description of the video concept from Passon…

The filming takes place in Love Park and starts on one couple meeting at the Park. They immediately start kissing each other. The camera moves and we see another couple meeting and kissing . The camera continues to move and we see another kissing couple and another until we see a ridiculous number of couples all meeting and kissing at Love Park, as if everyone in Center City just stopped what they were doing and started making-out with each other.

Want to help? Ted is looking for all kinds of couples, in all kinds of outfits. Filming takes place in Love Park from 11AM to 3PM. Due to the complex nature of the shot, it might take up to four hours to film. Show up on time. All participants will be notified when the video goes live, and will be sent a link to the video.

Senate Votes to Postpone Digital TV Transition
The deadline for the digital television transition has been changed to June 12th instead of February 17th because millions of households are still unprepared for the switch. Approximately 9.9% of African-American households are not ready, according to Nielsen. The delay would give the Obama administration time to shore up the converter box program and to ready Americans for the change. Apply for a TV Converter Box coupon now.
