Sorry I missed last week. I was just busy with work stuff and did not have the time to get out the weekly.
How bout the Phillies? As I am happy to make it to the World Series, I seem to be less excited than most people in this town. I want a parade. When we get that, then it is time to be truly excited. Just my two cents. And how much are the Eagles scaring us lately? Without Westbrook, we just do not seem like a playoff team. How great was it to see the entire NFC East lose this weekend?
Saturday is McToberfest. For those not sure what it is, it is a day and night long event where McFaddens tents their parking lot and has live bands all day. It is always a good turn out. And for those looking for a fun night, check out the Taste event from Philadelphia Weekly. It is always a fun night and a good value.
Did you know you can not get a glass of ice water at Plough and the Stars in Old City? I thought that was pretty strange.
If any of the females in NJ are looking for a great person to do their hair, I have a long time friend that you should definitely check out. She has a great resume and is someone I know you will be happy with. She works at Julian Hair and Color Studio in Cherry Hill. You can reach her at hopedoms@aol.com if interested. I confidently say you will be very happy with her.
If you are a first time home buyer in Montgomery County, shoot me an email. I learned of a new program the county is offering that has some nice incentives. Email me for the information.

15) VOTE FOR A LOCAL HERO
CNN to give prize to 'hero' on second Thanksgiving night special
The awards show, unusual for a cable news network, will give a prize to one of 10 individuals selected by viewers through a vote on the CNN Web site.
The special is an attempt to honor people who may not make the news, but are doing things to help others, said Jim Walton, president of CNN Worldwide, a unit of Time Warner Inc. There were more than 10,000 nominations for potential "heroes," he said.
A panel that included Desmond Tutu, Jane Goodall, Deepak Chopra, Richard Branson, Magic Johnson and George Lopez selected the 10 finalists.
One of CNN's nominees this year: is one of our own. Anne Mahlum, a marathon runner who started the "Back on My Feet" program that gets homeless people running. I'm asking everyone to just take a second out of there day to Vote for Anne and her cause. It doesnt not take long at all. Plus it doesn't ask for your email address http://heroes.cnn.com.
The publicity would do great wonders for this charity.. please vote for Anne Mahlum at http://heroes.cnn.com/
